Major Upgrades Coming to Ohio Stadium
Ohio Stadium is getting a series of upgrades designed to modernize the game-day experience while preserving the tradition of the historic Horseshoe.
Fans attending games during the 2026 season will notice a new video board in the north end zone, updated ribbon boards along the east and west sides of the stadium and improved video screens throughout B-Deck. The $6.5 million project is expected to be completed before the Buckeyes’ season begins.
The south end zone is also receiving a major makeover. Ohio State is adding nine elevated, field-level suites that can accommodate 12 guests each, along with approximately 400 oversized premium chairback seats positioned above the suites. The new seating area is scheduled to debut during the 2026 football season.
Additional improvements include faster stadium Wi-Fi and a new playing surface. Looking further ahead, Ohio State’s Board of Trustees has approved a $22.8 million project that will replace the main south end zone scoreboard and upgrade ribbon boards, signage and audio equipment before the 2027 season.
Together, the projects represent one of the most significant rounds of fan-experience improvements at Ohio Stadium in recent years—bringing new technology and premium amenities to one of college football’s most iconic venues.
